What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent Jewelry is gold, gold filled or silver chain that is custom fit and closed with a weld. Since it is welded closed, it doesn’t have a clasp, creating a seamless permanent bracelet.

Will it hurt?

Nope! Welded permanent jewelry may sound scary, but it is painless! There is a controlled spark from the laser welder that happens within

Is there an age limit?

We recommend ages 10 and up; anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  We will consider younger ages, but reserve the right to refuse.

Will I have problems going through Airport Security?

Absolutely not! The TSA does not require you to remove delicate or fine jewelry when passing through security. I am a frequent traveler and have never experienced any problems with my permanent jewelry.

What's your cancellation policy?

We kindly request that if you need to cancel or reschedule, you do so at least 24 hours in advance due to high demand. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or failure to show up for an appointment will incur a cancellation fee of $20.

What if I need/want to remove my jewelry?

If you need to remove your permanent jewelry, you can easily clip it off using scissors or nail clippers. If you intend to have it reattached later, clip it at the ring finding where the two sides of the chain are joined together.

What if I need to have an MRI or X-ray?

It is recommended that you consult your doctor to determine whether you need to remove your permanent jewelry before undergoing an MRI or X-ray.

What's the difference between gold filled and gold plated?

Gold filled jewelry is made by a process called pressure-bonding, where a solid layer of gold (approximately 5% gold by weight) is bonded to a core made of brass. In contrast, gold plating involves applying a very thin layer of gold (less than 0.05%) over a base metal. Gold filled jewelry is considered to be of high quality and is the next best option after solid gold.
